15 Days BP: (10/22): It’s Complicated

Travis Dillinger went from “It’s Complicated” to “Single”.

I’ve very recently broken up with somebody. And then we got back together. And then we broke up. Lather, rinse, and repeat.  The usual medication for this sick-cycle I choose to opt for is a long period of isolation, drinking alone, and listening to lots of Tom Waits.

The other important thing I should mention is that I have this long-standing game with a friend. We sit and we pitch ideas for bad romantic comedies that could realistically be made. Three pints of Oktoberfest, and walking the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, is what caused me to conceive the idea of sleeping with one hundred girls over the course of one hundred days. The goal being to be an internet sensation, or God forbid, get a book deal out of it.

This brought forth a forty minutes of riffing out jokes about one would have to do in order to accomplish such as  the fat sure thing girl you’d have to call at two in the morning when you can barely stand, let alone be mildly charming.

And now it’s October 22, and I’m painfully single. And I take to that like a vegetarian takes to Outback. I don’t wear as well as I’d like. Serial monogamy is my fetish, and it’s a taboo one. But something in me sparked today, and I have decided to make a goal of this thing. The notable exception here being that I will just try to date/encounter/forge as much of a connection as possible with these girls.  I don’t know what I’m hoping to accomplish, or even if I’ll have the fortitude to go through with it, but I’m going to try.

Money spent on each date and corresponding base reached. I want to do a regression analysis… yes I am a fucking nerd, but that data would be cool.
